Since I’ve already filled everyone in about my handsome husband and beautiful twins under the ABOUT US tab, I’ll talk about my parents, sister and in-laws. :)
I come from a very close-knit family that is extremely supportive in all my endeavors. Growing up, I heard “PMA! That’s the way! Everyday!” PMA stands for positive mental attitude, if you didn’t know. There were many times I rolled my eyes at my parents when I heard our family motto, especially during my high school years, but all-in-all, it made me who I am today. That motto has caused me to be grateful for every blessing in my life.
Furthermore, my parents were my saving-grace, when I returned to work after having the twins almost three years ago. They welcomed my little ones with open arms into their home on a daily basis, while my hubby and I were teaching. We can never repay them for the amount of love, hugs, kisses and adventures they gave and still give our children. The bond between them is priceless!
My wonderful sister is my best friend and confidant. She is one of the few people in the world that knows everything about me. We see each other on a weekly basis, since she lives only a few blocks away from me. Yay! She’s also the greatest Aunt and Godmother in the world to the kids. She’s one in a billion. :)
My in-laws are absolutely fantastic as well. When I first met them, I knew instantly they'd be a wonderful family to join. Prior to our marriage, seeing how close my husband was (and still is) with his family was definitely a bonus. They have become my second set of parents. They love me like their own, which assures me that I've been blessed, yet again.
So nice Colleen! You are very lucky to have your family! They are such nice people!
ReplyDeleteAs is your family! I love working with your mom, hanging with your brother and now blogging with you! ;)
DeleteYour family sounds lovely! Grandparents who care for grandchildren on a regular basis are priceless--how fortunate for you, them and your children.

Thanks for stopping by! I popped over to your blog and left a comment for you. Very cute family you have! :)
Deletelove the PMA that your family always talked about. It really is so important! Sounds like an amazing family you've got there! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle. It sounds as if you live your life to our family's motto as well. ;) In my opinion, it's the best way to live...with a positive outlook.
DeleteWhat a great family motto!!! Your family sounds just as great as you are.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you to say, Leah! You are mighty great as well, you know. Thanks. ;)
DeleteYour family motto reminds me of what my high school basketball team had on all their gear: MTXE (mental toughness extra effort). All that positive spirit changes everything, doesn't it! I described you to someone as "tall, curly hair, and always smiling" so I'm not surprised at the PMA motto!
ReplyDeleteHa, well, thanks, Marilyn! Yes, I always try to smile. :) :) :) You never know what it will bring you in life. Smiles spread pure goodness. I'm digging your MTXE, too. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. Thanks for commenting. Come back often! :-D
