Day 3: Share a post about your family.

Since I’ve already filled everyone in about my handsome husband and beautiful twins under the ABOUT US tab,  I’ll talk about my parents, sister and in-laws.  :)

I come from a very close-knit family that is extremely supportive in all my endeavors.  Growing up, I heard “PMA! That’s the way!  Everyday!”  PMA stands for positive mental attitude, if you didn’t know.  There were many times I rolled my eyes at my parents when I heard our family motto, especially during my high school years, but all-in-all, it made me who I am today.  That motto has caused me to be grateful for every blessing in my life.

Furthermore, my parents were my saving-grace, when I returned to work after having the twins almost three years ago.  They welcomed my little ones with open arms into their home on a daily basis, while my hubby and I were teaching.  We can never repay them for the amount of love, hugs, kisses and adventures they gave and still give our children.  The bond between them is priceless!

My wonderful sister is my best friend and confidant.  She is one of the few people in the world that knows everything about me.  We see each other on a weekly basis, since she lives only a few blocks away from me.  Yay!  She’s also the greatest Aunt and Godmother in the world to the kids.  She’s one in a billion. :)

My in-laws are absolutely fantastic as well.  When I first met them, I knew instantly they'd be a wonderful family to join.  Prior to our marriage, seeing how close my husband was (and still is) with his family was definitely a bonus.  They have become my second set of parents.  They love me like their own, which assures me that I've been blessed, yet again.

  5. Your family motto reminds me of what my high school basketball team had on all their gear: MTXE (mental toughness extra effort). All that positive spirit changes everything, doesn't it! I described you to someone as "tall, curly hair, and always smiling" so I'm not surprised at the PMA motto!

  6. Ha, well, thanks, Marilyn! Yes, I always try to smile. :) :) :) You never know what it will bring you in life. Smiles spread pure goodness. I'm digging your MTXE, too. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. Thanks for commenting. Come back often! :-D
